Channel Modeling for RIS-Assisted 6G Communications

Terahertz communication has been proposed as one of the basic key technologies sixth-generation wireless network (6G) due to its significant advantages, such ultra-large bandwidth, ultra-high transmission rates, high-precision positioning, and high-resolution perception. In terahertz-enabled 6G systems, intelligent reconfiguration propagation environments by deploying reconfigurable surfaces (RIS) will be an important research direction. This paper analyzes far field near RIS-assisted a detailed system description is presented. Subsequently, this presents specific study channel model for in far-field near-field cases, respectively. Finally, integrated simulation models cases carried out, performance RIS auxiliary link measured terms signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared analyzed. The results show that increasing size surface improve SNR effective method enhance coverage THz under strong guarantee bandwidth THz.
